I loooove this gorgeous pot!!
What a beautiful Dutch oven this is! I have and love the basil green. If you never use this pot it would be worth the money just to leave out and gaze at! I however do use it and love it! The color is gorgeous and very shiny! There are a couple of small bubbles in the enamel. This is normal for this type of product. My only pet peeve…cannot dry with any towel really….
As they all seem to leave a lint The interior is a rough black enamel. So my solution is to rinse in hot water and turn upside down on a towel. It dries fairly quickly and I am good to go.
I was concerned about durability but was put at ease once I researched every cast iron pot has the same use and care. Including Le Creuset Dutch ovens. Enjoy and happy cooking!

Materials
This coq au vin cocotte is quite heavy. That’s because it’s made of cast iron. In addition to the iron, it has multiple coats of glossy enamel on its exterior. (The basil color is a beautiful, rich green—a little more green in it than a forest green.) In addition, the interior is a matte black finish. It too, has multiple coats.
My experiences shopping (in person) for it led me to the ‘Clearance’ sections of several stores. There, I found name brands you are probably familiar with and yes, they cost less. However, they were there for a reason (beyond making room for new merchandise)…
Great pot.
This makes delicious meals, using the included recipes or others. Highly recommended. The little chicken knob on top is so cute, but there’s also the alternate plain one.
