A Beautiful [Chicken] Thing !!
Well, we used this roaster for about a year before deciding to write this review.
As long-term and loyal fans of Le Creuset cookware (nearly 30 years), when it comes to chicken roasters, we sort of defected because Le Creuset does not make a vertical chicken roaster, but their nemesis Staub does. And we do not feel the least bit of guilt about it either. Who says competition is not healthy or a good thing?
This Staub Vertical Chicken Roaster is “a beautiful thing”… Better yet, I should state that it bakes beautiful and tasty chicken! The skin becomes [crisp] golden brown, while the chicken meat is consistently moist and tender. We typically roast with the oven temperature between 350-400F. The bottom of the roaster allows for juices to collect and be poured off, and included for gravy, or vegetables to simmer in the juices or be discarded —What-ever you prefer.

Great tool for anyone looking to make the perfect roast chicken…
We received this as a wedding present, and have used it at least once a week! It’s the perfect size for 3-4 pound chicken, and really does help keep the skin crisp all over. We’ve since experimented with different rubs and marinades, and the chicken has come out cooked perfectly each time. Highly recommended!
