Piece of junk that no one stands behind
In February of 2012 I purchased this lasagna pan. I loved it when I received it; it had a nice heavy weight to it, solid handles, and a beautiful color that looked great during baking and on the table. In fact, I liked it so much, that I requested the whole Rachel Ray line for the holidays and was planning on buying one for my Mom, who saw it and loved it. Since February I used it a handful of times, no higher than 400 degrees, always hand washed and never subjected it to extreme temperature changes. This weekend, as I was using it, I heard a very loud POP. When I inspected the pan to see what had happened I saw a large semi-circular crack running along the bottom, which within minutes began leaking. Shocked that this happened under normal circumstances I called Amazon, who told me to call RachelRay.com, which I did, who told me to call the manufacturer, Meyer Corp. After calling each company and having them refer me to another, I reached a Meyer representative. After explaining the…
Fine, not great
I love the color and the ease of cleanup. A few minuses: the sides are very tall which makes it difficult to store. It’s slightly larger than an average lasagna pan so your favorite recipe won’t turn out quite the same. If you also use it to store, the height of the sides makes it hard to fit in the fridge, plus you have to cover the handle openings too so your food won’t dry out.
Pan not very deep
The picture is deceptive. The pan depth is only 2.5 inches at it’s lowest point. That is only half an inch deeper than a standard 9×13 pan.
