Beware of Size
I gave a three star rating without using the pan, although I would have loved to. The three stars are for its great looks. I ordered this because I needed a deep dish lasagna pan and this looked perfect. The description states it is 16 x 12 x 3. Although the picture only shows one handle, it actually has two, which is great, but that is where the 16″ comes from. From the tip of one handle to the tip of the other is exactly 16″. Now, the width is only 10″, not 12″ and the depth is perfect. Since the pan flares out from the bottom, your bottom size is 9 1/2″ x 8″ x 3″ and the top is 12″ x 10″ x 3″. If you need a small lasagna pan, this would be ideal.
WOW, love this stuff!
This is my 5th piece and I can’t say enough good about all of them. I have used this piece about 8 times now.
My favorite quality about this clay-ware is that they are non-stick! (Safe/healthy non-stick that is!!) Even baked on cheese comes off with little to no effort!! I spend a lot of time cooking and this is such a time and energy saver for clean up – no soaking, scraping or scrubbing!
I love the fact that they are cook-top safe (follow directions carefully though). If I am roasting or making a casserole with it I can pre-melt butter or sauté in it before it goes in the oven. It even makes bacon easy with quick clean up!
Also, it does keep food warmer for longer on the table.
It is very cute so I don’t mind keeping it out on my open kitchen shelves..it looks more like decora than actual cookware. Also, I suspect it can be fragile so I don’t want to risk stacking it in a cupboard.
I treat it like cast iron…
I love Pomaireware!
I am familiar with the products made in Pomaire,Chile.Good quality and they keep the food warm for a longer period of time.
I am happy to own this big clay pan to bake different Chilean and Latin Dishes!
One suggestion :please improve the packaging ,protect the pan better when shipping.
