Great quality, great price BUT . . .
I bought this pan because I wanted a stainless steel 9×13 pan, primarily to be used for baking cakes and brownies. Unfortunately, the center of the bottom pan has a raised section (in other words, there is a section all the way around the sides of the pan that is the full depth, but there is a shallower rectangular section inside that area), so if you are baking a cake or brownies, the pieces in the middle come out flatter than the ones at the edges. As a result of this design flaw (which is what I consider it to be), the pan is not really suitable for the primary purpose for which I bought it. If I had seen it in a store, I would not have bought it, but because I ordered it online, I was unaware of the way the bottom of the pan is shaped. I kept it because it’s such a nuisance to return things by mail (not to mention the cost of shipping it back), but I am disappointed in it. Just what I wanted and a great price!!!
This is an amazing pan/lid. Not only is it heavy and well made, it is gorgeous! I have wanted a pan like this for at LEAST 25 years and have suffered through MANY ugly, cheap, 9X13 pans that just did not please me! FINALLY I found this pan. It is well worth the money and you will not be sorry if you order this pan. It bakes beautifully and did not scratch when I cut the food. Clean up was a breeze too! I LOVE this pan. It was received sooner than promised and well packed. This would make a great shower or wedding gift. Thanks a million!
Thin Metal
The metal (stainless steel) is not heavy gage, it is thin. Also, rim is folded, which creates an anti-hygine environment. I returned it back.
