Demarle SF 02134 Silform Half-Size Sub Roll Pan

Love it!

I just ordered my second pan – not because the first one didn’t work – but because I loved it so much that I needed another one!

These are the perfect size for sub rolls, and there is no way you’re going to fit 5 rolls on a half sheet pan without them sticking together while rising – unless you have this product!

I even use them for lean dough baguettes – I just remove the bread from the forms for the last 10 minutes of baking and place them on the baking stone so the crust can carmelize.

These aren’t cheap, but they’ll last forever, and they take a lot of the frustration out of trying to bake in larger batches.

Now that I’ll have two forms, I can bake once a week and have 10 beautifully formed, professional looking sub rolls.

A true Subway sized delicate silicone baking sheet/mold

The Demarle Silform Half-Size Sub Roll Pan sold by Wasserstrom Restaurant Supply was delivered very quickly. It came in a huge cardboard box without any instructions at all. While I own many silicone products, I believe I know how to take proper care of silicone products. I will use this pan for baking up to maximum 450 deg. F, so I hope it is not limited to lesser temperatures. As to the delivery box, the pan was folded in half – maybe due to an improper packaging, maybe because it was just thrown in the over sized box and it got shifted while being delivered. The fold is slightly discolored to gray and I just hope it won’t cause any problems in the future, only time will tell. The silicone webbing of the pan is VERY fine.

The pan by itself is an exact match to the Subway buns. The short sides of the pan are very soft and the edging support is too short/weak to hold the dough nicely straight inside the delicate silicone webbing. The sides of the pan change their shape, no…

I have been looking for these for a year…flexible similar to the ones at Subway. There is a special pan they sell to go under them to allow better air flow, but I just used my half sheet and it worked great. We had sweet onion chicken teriyaki sandwiches for dinner and this pan was awesome for the rolls! They were every bit as good as Subway! Will make great gifts for Christmas!
