Useful for Inexpensive Lab Equipment (May not be proposed use)
This is lab-grade without the cost, and the only safe glass to use, since the thermal expansion coefficient is so much larger than the impostor Pyrex brand.
The amazing shattering dish is brought to you by Pyrex’s soda-lime structure, which easily breaks with even small changes in temperature, which makes it far less durable.
It’s the little things, though, with this product: The lid that can be a hot plate and a pot holder.
Really we are satisfied with this product.
Amazing dish and the best part: it’s deep and artfully beautiful!
I’m really loving this baking dish. I originally purchased the two dish set, and they sat in my cabinet for a long time, and I kept using my Pyrex glass bowls. Then, I had to re-heat a stuffed pepper, and it did not fit in my old dishes without squishing, so I had to find something else, and by chance found these! And wow, my re-heating routine changed for the better.
Handles – really, it was my biggest concern but I actually found I enjoy not having handles on these. It makes it very pretty as a serving dish and less like a pot.
Overall, I’m so impressed, I just purchased another small one. My original one, after about a year, unfortunately developed a chip and then a larger crack and I had to throw it away. Not sure how I got the chip, but I think it have been from trying to fit it info an overstuffed dishwasher. I use it so much, almost daily, and the glass is so thin – but that’s why I love it. It’s so beautiful.
