Beyond beautiful!
This cake plateau exceeded all expectations! Its well made, the details are beautiful, it looks like real silver( its not) and its just a beautiful piece that I hope I can pass on to my daughter ( hopefully it will last that long.. definitely an heirloom piece! I plan on using it not just for cakes but to serve cookies, pies, etc… It will give all your culinary creations a feeling of luxury.
Beautiful cake platform
This is a gorgeous cake platform. It has a flawless finish, is completely level and is an instant hit with my brides.
Order early, check the welds on the beaded border!
The packaging was top notch on this item. Bagged, packed in form fitting styrofoam, and very sturdy box. The plating on the piece itself was nice and proved to be durable for the wedding cakes to be served upon. My issue was with the soldering of the beaded bands. The bands were nice, a simple touch, but it was ruined by a soldering job that discoloured a large spot by each weld. Two of the welds were already popped off when it arrived (not due to shipping, it just looked to have been that way when boxed) and the dime sized spot of discolouration could not be removed with cleaners.
We were able to hide the spots on the front and side with flowers, but it wasn’t the effect that we, or the bride, was going for.
Because there was no time to return and receive a replacement before the event it was needed for, we kept it. Maybe we just got a bad piece, just order early and check for a bad soldering work.
