The best way that I have found to roast a chicken vertically


The easiest to clean roasting pan ever!

I grabbed this as an impulse purchase, desperate for anything that might be easier than cleaning an enormous roasting pan. Holy cow, did this do the trick. Stuff just doesn’t cake on the surface like it does on a roasting pan – I got it clean after a 2-3 minute hot water rinse and scrub. Dishes were done before dinner was even served.


This holds up to an 8 pound chicken, which is plenty enough for your standard chicken. A lot of people here are mentioning putting veggies in the bottom, but I actually prefer to do my veggies in a separate pan. You get more room to roast your veggies, and then the fat and juices are kept separate so it’s easy to make gravy. It even has a little spout on the pan, which makes pouring the juices out very convenient. This is the first time we’ve ever had enough juices to make gravy without watering them down.

Chicken roaster is the latest addition to my kitchen and it is great. Easy to use and the results were wonderful. I roasted a 6 pound bird and the results were excellent. My husband said it was the best chicken he ever tasted. Very sorry I waited so long to get one of these. This is my second Emile Henry Flame item, and it is top quality and conducts heat very well. Amazed at all the fat that drained out of the chicken and how wonderful & crisp skin tasted. 5 stars plus for this product!
